Well, you cannot fool our teachers! There is no moving a 1200+ lb horse that does not want to move. Participants will develop skills to step up to the plate and become a leader, because if they are not, the horse will take that position themselves. They are a prey animal, meaning that they are highly sensitive and can even hear our heartbeat! Horses will consistently react to the slightest changes within the individual & team environment, allowing for teachable moments to take place.

Horses are by nature a lot like humans and therefore have a lot that they can teach us. One can parallel groups of people to herds of horses. Horses demand a leader that is trustworthy and can be respected; just as humans would love to have in the home, office, and everyday life. These moments alongside the horse allow people to learn life skills that they will never forget.

To put in in simple terms, the horse is the teacher; facilitators are there to assist in explaining and provide guidance as individuals and teams work through to the solution. Working with horses creates memories that we can apply to our lives and retain far longer than sitting in ‘just another classroom'.

As small as 2 to a maximum of 6 participants. We like lots of hands on work with the horses and these numbers allow us to ensure that happens.
Absolutely not, our program is run with everyone on the ground and does not require you to ride a horse. You will work alongside the horses as part of your team for the best and true reaction of the horse and the most beneficial way of learning for you. This way the horse can be its true self and not be "on the job." We instruct every group on rules and safety precautions to take around the animals and the arena. Safety is number one! We can work with everyone’s comfort levels and experience around horses.
No worries! We are not learning and growing if we are not stepping outside our comfort zone! We offer a wonderful opportunity to work on overcoming fears or preconceived notions in a safe and controlled manner. Some of the people who have attended our workshops have started out petrified, but by the end of the program, they all have learned more about themselves and they have overcome their fears.
The only required clothing is closed toed shoes for safety while working around the horses. Other than that, just dress for the weather and wear clothes that you are not afraid to get a little dusty in!

Knowing is half the battle! Just be sure to take an allergy pill before you come. One of our lead instructors, where Beverly was certified, is also allergic to horses, but finds that the antihistamine/ allergy pills will do the trick. We also have allergy medication on site.
